St. Paul Children's Ministry

The Children's Ministry of St. Paul United Methodist Church serves as an opportunity for children to build a foundation of faith and be a part of a church family. Our events and activities provide a time and place for children to learn Biblical values that will stay with them as they grow. The Children's Ministry serves infants through fifth grade.

Our goals for the Children's Ministry include:

- To establish a solid, spiritual foundation in the children of SPUMC
- To include a time for praise and worship which will enrich the learning and growth of each child
- To incorporate technology and media into the teaching and learning of Bible stories, lessons, and concepts
- To encourage church family participation through the need of donations, volunteers, fundraisers, etc.
- To provide the congregation with opportunities to witness the growth of the children

Nursery: Nursery - Room A-9
Nursery Care is provided by Mrs. Valicia Eger and Lauren Bowen during all three worship services. They staff our nursery every Sunday to provide quality, loving care to the little ones of our church. The nursery is open to children ages 0-3 during the 8:15 & 11:00 worship services and 0-2 years at 9:45am.

Sunday School:
Sunday School is available for all children birth through Grade 5. We are currently using the Deep Blue Sunday School curriculum by Cokesbury. Each week, students hear a Bible story and watch an accompanying DVD. Each student receives a take home paper so that the lesson can be reviewed and reinforced at home. Each review paper also has extension activities that can be done throughout the week. Children also experience the opportunity to do crafts and play games with many of the lessons. Parents may also download the FREE Deep Blue app on their smartphones so that children can watch the videos at home as well. There are 4 Sunday School classes based upon age/grade."
