Testimonials

posted Feb 12, 2020, 7:11 AM by St. Paul UMC Church

Our Youth Representative to Church Council, Andrew Baldassari,  was blessed by the testimonial sharing of Nancy Hoke. In fact, he was so blessed that he would like this time of sharing to become an ongoing part of worship (9:45 and 11:00 as able). A testimonial is a personal sharing of how God has been an active blessing in your journey. The purpose of the testimony is to glorify God through sharing of real life ways God has been and is active in our lives. If you are interested in sharing your faith testimony during worship (about 5 minutes) please talk to Andrew or Pastor John for scheduling. Thank you.

Sermon Series

posted Feb 12, 2020, 7:09 AM by St. Paul UMC Church

This year we will be moving through the entire Bible as our Sermon Series. We will take breaks for Palm Sunday, Easter, and All Saints Day using the lectionary scriptures for those days. We will also break order for Christmas and have the four Gospels leading to Christmas with our traditional reading of Luke used for Christmas Eve. So typically we will sequentially flow through the books of the Bible. Note: the first 5 books of the Bible are called the Pentateuch (penta=5; teuch=book). This week we look at Leviticus and thus next week is Numbers. many people have commented on how exciting this series will be to review every book in the Bible in one year! To prepare for next week's worship, simply read the next book of the Bible!

Furniture Ministry

posted Feb 12, 2020, 6:54 AM by St. Paul UMC Church   [ updated Feb 27, 2020, 5:25 AM ]

The Furniture Mission is going through a time of reorganization mirroring the Grass Cutting and Garden Ministries. These ministries are led by a central coordinator with several people stepping forward to be active participants. Took Coder has agreed to be the Furniture Mission Coordinator!

Please consider being a part of the Furniture Ministry. Your role could be helping on a monthly or weekly basis or driving to places for furniture. You could help in a specific role such as gatherings, deliveries, or to serve as a driver of your pickup.  You may choose the frequency of support such as monthly or bi-weekly. You may also pick the day of your service such as “the first Saturday” or the “the second Sunday” or “every Tuesday”—you choose. Prayerfully reflect on your level of involvement and then contact Took (Cell: 717-360-9780 or email hcoder115@comcast.net). He will then coordinate willing helpers to continue this unique and genuinely meaningful mission. Thank you.

Facility usage policies

posted Oct 23, 2019, 5:38 AM by St. Paul UMC Church

Council has approved a series of facility usage policies.  In short, if you request Audio visual or setup/ tear down there will be fees.  Obviously, ministries of the church are excluded from this new policy.  Church council makes the decision if you are a ministry of the church. The Safe Sanctuaries policy and all other facility use policies relating to proof of insurance, scheduling protocol and facility care remain unchanged. Copies of the updated facility use fee policy are available at the church office. Thank You.
