   Jesus Among Secular Gods

by Ravi Zacharias and Vince Vitale

Starting June 3 at 11am in the Church Library

PEOPLE ARE HANGING THEIR ETERNITIES ON VIRTUALLY NOTHING.

Although the secular philosophies floating around our culture can be intriguing, they have no real substance. But could you argue against them effectively? This six-session Bible study will equip you to challenge the gods of our day: atheism, scientism, pluralism, hedonism, relativism, and humanism. Join us and learn how to point out the fallacies in their claims and to present compelling evidence for the absolute truth found in Jesus.

Sermon Series

posted Mar 14, 2018, 7:44 AM by St. Paul UMC Church   [ updated Aug 8, 2018, 8:18 AM ]

We continue a 5-week series relating to “When Bad Things Happen.” We deal with the question  “Why?”. The responses to these questions will not be simplified or reduced to sound bites of theology. The challenges and pain of life demand an honest and forthright response of faith. The Bible has much to say in this realm so we review one component of scriptural understanding each week. Week 1 was the topic of consequences and punishment for sin. Week 2 was at Job’s response. Today is a very different perspective from Ecclesiastes. August 19th will be God’s Plans, and August 26th will be “Untruths about the Bible” relating to this topic.
