Prayer Requests

posted Jul 6, 2020, 9:12 AM by St. Paul UMC Church

Another ongoing change in our ministry relates to the "Prayer Chain" ministry. In the past we used green prayer cards. To limit contact concerns we have moved to verbally sharing prayer concerns during worship at 8:30 and 9:45 am services. Texting prayer requests is used at the 11am parking lot worship. To have your prayer requests included in Sunday morning prayers when you are not on site for worship we have set a new format. To request prayers for someone please email both Lisa Morrow at stpaulchambersburg.office@gmail.com AND Pastor John at stpaulchambersburg.pastor@gmail.com. Lisa will add these people to our email prayer chain. Pastor John will add them to the Sunday worship prayer list. Please note Lisa does not work on Fridays through the summer. Your help in this new journey is genuinely appreciated.

Sermon Series

posted Feb 12, 2020, 7:09 AM by St. Paul UMC Church

This year we will be moving through the entire Bible as our Sermon Series. We will take breaks for Palm Sunday, Easter, and All Saints Day using the lectionary scriptures for those days. We will also break order for Christmas and have the four Gospels leading to Christmas with our traditional reading of Luke used for Christmas Eve. So typically we will sequentially flow through the books of the Bible. Note: the first 5 books of the Bible are called the Pentateuch (penta=5; teuch=book). This week we look at Leviticus and thus next week is Numbers. many people have commented on how exciting this series will be to review every book in the Bible in one year! To prepare for next week's worship, simply read the next book of the Bible!

Facility usage policies

posted Oct 23, 2019, 5:38 AM by St. Paul UMC Church

Council has approved a series of facility usage policies.  In short, if you request Audio visual or setup/ tear down there will be fees.  Obviously, ministries of the church are excluded from this new policy.  Church council makes the decision if you are a ministry of the church. The Safe Sanctuaries policy and all other facility use policies relating to proof of insurance, scheduling protocol and facility care remain unchanged. Copies of the updated facility use fee policy are available at the church office. Thank You.
