What is the Children’s Ministry Team (CMT)??

One of the goals of the Children’s Ministry program here at St. Paul UMC to involve as many folks in this vital ministry area as possible—regardless of whether you still have a child in the children’s program or not!  If you love working with kids and telling them about Jesus and His great love for them, we have a place for you!  Several meetings will be held each month to update parents, teachers, and all congregation members as to what is happening in Children’s Ministry. You do NOT have to come to every meeting—one meeting every month is all you need to attend. Meetings have been arranged on different days and times to try to accommodate everyone’s busy schedules—please come to the meeting that suits your schedule best!  Meetings will be kept short and sweet with a written agenda for each.  Cindy will update everyone on what is coming up, and then let you know where our specific needs are for that current month and the next:  whether we need volunteers to teach and assist with Sunday School, Kids for Christ, help to organize and plan events like Trunk or Treat, the Easter Party, VBS, etc….

Please keep in mind that if you are interested in helping with our children, you must have completed the Safe Sanctuary training (online option available!) and given a copy of your certificate to Bill Klebe.  You must also have completed the required clearances and background checks- please see Bill Klebe for more information on this.  We cannot allow you to help in any area (including VBS!) without these 2 specific things on file as per the UMC regulations.

In order for our programs to grow and become better, it is VITAL that we have more help from parents and congregation members alike!  Won’t you please consider sowing the Love of Jesus to our precious kiddos by helping out a few times a year?  Think of the positive difference and lasting impact your time and presence will make in the lives of our children!   If you need more information or have questions, please speak to Cindy directly.  THANK YOU!!!
